Aiden Visits
Saturday, October 31, 2009 / 7:13 PM
I was very ecstatic when an old friend of mine came to visit Brandon.
So many things have changed since the last time I saw Camille,
which I suppose must be way back in high school. :)
CAMILLE & BABY AIDENCamille gave birth to Aiden last July in the USA.
Aiden is American-Canadian-Filipino-Chinese... Woah!
He has been purely and proudly breastfed since he was born. :)
* * * * * * * *I don't have a lot of mommy friends in Manila and I'm grateful to have gained one.
I had a wonderful afternoon chatting with Camille about motherhood.
Someday, I'll bring Sophie and Brandon to visit her in Subic. :)

THE BIG & THE SMALL

Brandon has been well-behaved eversince we arrived in Manila.
On the contrary and ironically, Sophie has been fussy and grumpy.
Giving Mommy a very hard time... clinging on to me every waking second. :(

Just Like The Old Times
Sunday, October 25, 2009 / 8:30 PM
I can still imagine us in our ICA high school uniforms talking about our crushes...
It sure feels like the good ol' days in high school when we were still young and naive...
Except for the fact that we are already 10 years older since we first became friends. :)

Let Love
Saturday, October 24, 2009 / 7:00 AM
I learned that sometimes you just have to let go and... let love.

Love is like a dove.
Hold it too tight and it will die.
Hold it too loose and it will fly away.

FRUTTI DI MARELinguini with assorted seafood in rich cream sauceThis is my all-time favorite seafood pasta ever!I was smiling to myself as I paid for my pasta. This pasta costs about P200 only... approximately $4.Where can I have a yummy bowl of pasta for $4 in Canada?
You see... This is one of the things I love about Manila. :)* * * * *PASTOGREENHILLSLabels: Italian cuisine, restaurants

There's No Place Like Home...

HOME SWEET HOME
There was a sweet buttery feeling in my heart as I pushed open our door.
I was saddened though to see our humble home dirty and dusty. It needed a general cleaning which took 3 days and 3 maids.
God, it literally brought out the housewife in me.Labels: home

To The Sister I Never Had...
Sunday, October 11, 2009 / 9:50 PM
She is someone I shared stories with, laughed with, and cried with.
She is someone I opened my heart to and told all my worries and pain.
She is someone who offered me both of her hands when I needed support.
She is the sister I've never had... She is MELISSA.

My Farewell Dinner at Yaletown
Friday, October 9, 2009 / 11:09 PM
Last Friday, I had a farewell dinner with Vancouver friends at Yaletown. It is my first time in Yaletown and I absolutely love this cool place. I get to take a break from motherhood and dress up like the good ol' days. We all had a full-course dinner at this popular resto called
Goldfish known for lots of celebrity spotting. B was the only thorn among us roses and he immediately knew his role for the night... that is to take endless photos of us ladies. :)

Cute Commuter
Wednesday, October 7, 2009 / 10:17 PM
B realized how much taxi fares have been burning holes in his pocket.
So we decided to take the bus instead on Sophie's check-up.
Thank God the weather was warm and sunny! :)
WAITING BY THE BUS STOPSophie is wearing her cable knit sweater and pink boots from
Joe.
She is certainly the cutest commuter aboard Bus 106. :)
BOOTS TO BOOTSIn the bus, Sophie and I played with our sheepskin boots.Sophie's boots are small and pink while Mommy's are big and brown. :)
* * * * *I know that this may sound crazy but sometimes I enjoy being a commuter.I love watching people from all walks of life hop on and hop off the bus.So, I guess there's an anthropologist deep inside of me!Labels: shoes, Sophie
